revamped them a bit

stylistically not much has changed but i did put a sticker over the icon on polaris's laptop and added the prep school logo from chihiro's original design to the vest

some other stuff i came up with on the fly:

polaris is not wearing a school uniform despite how it might look. she didn't attend school consistently since she was on the run from her shit ass family but she likes the aesthetic so most of her clothes look vaguely academic

polaris's laptop is actually something custom-made by some tech company in the togami conglomerate. one of the first things she did with it was deactivate all the tracking and background programs and more or less gut its operating system

if chihiro hadn't stepped up to help his father's company he would have gone down the route of research and programming. as it is he knows enough about tech and software to be able to work with them, but not to the degree of being an 'ultimate'

chihiro did go to a private school but only attended it sporadically since he was also co-running an entire company. but he usually wears his school outfit to give the impression of being an innocent fancy lad (however, the cross-tie was not originally from the school's uniform)

jason jumped, startled. the lamb was back again, staring at him from the open doorway

"g-go away," jason said immediately, tearing his eyes away from the lamb to stare at his security monitor screens, thinking he'd seen movement. "i have a job. i'm busy."

"I love you!" jammie the lamb said, his pre-recorded message small and tinny in the vast quiet of the complex around them. "do you want to hear a song?"

jason looked back up at the lamb and a deep chill sliced straight through him. something was off. a glint in the dark

jammie had brought something with him

"yeah ok. let's hear a song," jason said. maybe he was just seeing things. maybe that green glow wasn't really there. maybe it was all going to be ok

but then jammie started playing "Sunny Bright Delight" again. jason's sister's favorite song. his dead sister's favorite.

it was like she was calling out to him from the darkness

jason lifted his eyes to the lamb again, then shifted his gaze to the black void behind him.

the glow was gone

"play something different," jason muttered, "anything." his words caught in his throat

then jammie shifted. glanced back behind him, almost human-like. when his gaze came back to jason, there was a bright spark of white in the depths of his yellow eyes

"don't cry!" jammie said. "I love you"

and jammie started playing the theme from his play, the one with the three lambs and the big bad wolf who ate them right up. the one where their mother, the ewe, cut that wolf open and pried her kids out and filled his stomach with rocks and threw him down a well

jason nodded. "that's better," he said, only a little scared now.

it seemed for a second, then, that the glow had returned behind jammie

these things are mostly to help me figure out which decision i truly want based on how i feel about the winning result -- can't dedicate yourself to something you're not wholly passionate about, am i right? -- and i'm still feeling indecisive asf. i'm gonna work on some more designs and get back to y'all when i've had more time to consider. i will say that it's mainly between arkos and schneekos for now

(FYI: Comic shouldn't imply that classic Mettaton is suffering from emotional neglect. Headcanon is just headcanon. :P)

A short comic of Nib!Mettaton making good use of free therapy offered by Mettaton!Stitch (i.e. Stitch taking the shape of a Mettaton). Nib unpacking his emotional baggage was an idea I had for some time, but I couldn't figure out the best scenario where he would do it. And then I saw the Stitch AU and thought, yeah, he would eventually hear about Stitch's free therapy services through the cyberspace grapevine and try it out.

There was supposed to be some stitching right in the middle of Stitch's face, but apparently my scanner did not pick up well on that. Also the scan of the last page went wonky and I'm too lazy to re-scan. Scanner troubles be troublesome. ಠ_ಠ

Slowly getting back into the groove of making more comics after the life debacles of the past two years. I had to adjust my comic-making process to adapt to certain life changes, so the comic style is experimental; let me know if the text is too small for the Tumblr dashboard.

Older readers might recognize the dialogue from the "Overgrown" chapter (from 2021!) and this minicomic happens sometime after the events on "Overgrown". I like to design my comics so that new readers can jump in easily without having to read any of the older stuff. But if you're new and want to know more (or if you're an old reader and need a refresher), more thoughts under the cut:

In "Overgrown", Reed!Flowey is the one who originally says that the reason for doing good things doesn't matter so long as the result is good. At one point, Nib and Reed have a bit of a spat, causing Reed to go onto a tantrum, and Nib throws back this same answer at Reed to get him to calm down.

But needless to say, that's viewpoint on being a good person makes more logical sense for Reed (because he can't feel most emotions) versus someone like Nib (whose actions would be emotionally driven).

There was going to be more explanation to where Nib's emotional neglect stemmed from. Essentially, it would be revealed that Nib's sense of emotional neglect was related to working at the farm at an early age. Basically, he was discouraged from things he really wanted to do due to farmwork, and most positive reactions was often tied to doing things for other people or just (i.e. being responsible) doing a good job.

Hence, he would sometimes have a hard time distinguishing when doing something good for himself is healthy/neutral versus something selfish/hurtful, as well as have a hard time telling people "no" or speaking up when a healthy boundary would need to be set.

But the mini-comic was meant to be experimental process, there was no way I could unpack all this info in three pages. Maybe in another comic.

Hi the AU is called Danny's Land. It's basically a Dandy's World rip-off for more matured audiences (recommended 16+) with shitty humour. I'll give you the cast names as I make the designs (I'm not done yet...) but now now, here is who we have so far!

SO! This redesign actually took me less than 15 hours! ლ(⌒▽⌒ლ) (Could that purely be because I design him so simply? Probably…)

If you couldn’t tell from my use of emoticons- It’s Panda again!!!! (cause it’s a joint account obvi~~) And I literally think that this redesign turned out pretty good. However the hair was pretty tricky (T-T*) (And I don’t even know if Solomon simps are down with long hair Solomon like I AM DOWN with long hair Solomon, but anyway…) Solomon is our most head-cannoned character (Believe it or not..) so be prepared for that yap. SO- Hello! with this design came a few changes that I’ll explain now! YES YES, anyhow the first change that I made was Solomon’s beautiful long majestic locks (>▽<)!! The reason he has long hair? Cause why not- but also because it makes him look more sly in my opinion! Moving to the outfit, since it seems he keeps it simple I just gave him wide arm sleeves with like constellations and stars on it like how it is on his jacket
